Chapter 2

Han and JL’s friendly rivalry intensifies, but amidst the teasing, JL starts to notice small things—how Han always waits for JL after practice, how he unconsciously smiles when JL succeeds. Han’s playful nature hides something deeper, but JL isn’t sure how to approach it.

One evening, the group goes out for dinner, and Han ends up sitting next to JL. He casually bumps JL’s shoulder. “So, admit it. You like competing with me.”

JL laughs. “I think you just like having an excuse to challenge me.”

Han leans in slightly, voice quieter but teasing. “Maybe. Or maybe I just like seeing you try so hard.”
